Totally ripped me off!!!

I had been going to them for years, even longer if you count the time they were in Longwood on 17-92 as part of their history. Took my Camry in because it was having intermittent issues. I was supposed to get a diagnostics. Went to pick it up and and they told me I...

Customers is not always right

I washed my car Thursday, October 24th. On Friday I brought my car in to David Maus Toyota in Sanford, FL to get the weatherstripping replaced on the drivers side door. They replaced the stripping and all was good until I arrived home and noticed on the right front lower part of my fender was scrapped. The rim was also scrapped. I went back to Maus today, Wednesday, October 30th to show them the damage and to explain how this could happen. They right away took no blame and said they tell their guys that you will not get fired if you damage a vehicle just let us know. I guess everyone is honest all the time. The Director came out and said someone hit something and that they will review the video. Okay, so the video will prove that I did it? This is how you treat a repeat Toyota customer? I guess I have to get it fixed out of my pocket and that's the sad part. A few hundred dollars to sever a relationship. My recommendation whenever you bring in your car or truck for service, always video tape your entire car in case you go through what I just experienced. BTW- They never took my name or even apologized, nothing!

Dishonest Service Department

I had minor damage on a rim to my 1 year old SUV. When I talked to the service department about having it repaired, they informed me there was suspension damage. I had a second opinion and found that to be incorrect. So I went and got a third opinion and found again that that there was no damage to the suspension. BEWARE, this dealership is only after your money. They are very dishonest.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I bought a car two weeks ago that appeared in top shape. I asked all the right questions and did my due diligence, but they flat out LIED about the car's history, which had originally been bought and serviced there. A week later, this car with under 20,000 miles on it, wouldn't start. When I finally got it started and took it into their service department, I saw it had a history of needing to be jump started. The service rep, sales manager, and sales person all NOW said that it was a problem that they had to find the problem and it had to be fixed, shouldn't be on the lot, was a lemon and toyota should buy it back, UNTIL I mentioned I had bought the extra service warranty, at which point their story changed to "we can't find anything wrong with the car." During all this, all managers I spoke with ADMITTED without shame that they INTENTIONALLY LIE ABOUT THEIR CARS because "IF WE DISCLOSED THAT A CAR HAS ISSUES, WE'D NEVER BE ABLE TO SELL IT." They actually SAID THAT!! I paid over $20,000 for a car that won't reliably start, and they told me I SHOULD FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT!!! PAY ATTENTION BUYERS: THIS IS THEIR PHILOSOPHY!!! THEIR SLOGAN "WHATEVER IT TAKES" MEANS THEY DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO SELL A CAR: LIE, CHEAT, STEAL FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS....It does NOT mean "whatever it takes" for the customer.

Dave Maus Toyota in Sanford stole my Trade-in Vehicle

Seminole Toyota - Dave Maus Toyota in Sanford stole my Trade-in Vehicle
Seminole Toyota - Dave Maus Toyota in Sanford stole my Trade-in Vehicle
May 25, 2019 Saturday, I traded in my Mazda3 which trade-in value is 15,500 with Dave Maus Toyota, and I bought a used car from them for 18,400. They were supposed to deduct the traded in value and add 5000 which i owe the bank, totally would be 18,400 -15,500+5,000 =7,900. So 7,900 should be my balance, but they made me signed hundreds of paper, by the end, I am ending up need to pay down payment 15,000 and still owe them near 15,000. That is so ridiculous. I didn’t know i was over paying this much after i got home and looked through the paper. The next day I asked them I want to cancel the deal, but my answer from them was the deal is done, they can't do anything about it. so they took my trade in car without paying me a penny and want me to buy their used car with a new car's price, that is a fraud. *** *** *** *** ***

Not poor customer service. No service at all

We were promised a second key fob with the purchase of our 2015 Lexus from David Maus. David Maus uses a third party individual to provide key fobs. This should not have been a problem. I was told I was to meet him at a Sanford area car dealer on a Monday as that is his Sanford day. It quickly became evident that it would be my job to chase him. We agreed on a day that he would be in Sanford and I would drive the Lexus in order to meet him. After not hearing from him I sent him a text at 4:10 PM. He responded "I was in the area today waiting for your call". Again; my job to chase and beg. I am not good at either. I did meet him one day. After several attempts he was unable to program the new fob and promised to order new ones. I made it clear that the Lexus is my wife's car and not my daily drive. I would need to know when he received the fobs in order to make certain ( I made it clear) that I would drive the Lexus from my home in Titusville when he felt he could help me. He did not reach out to me but OVER AND OVER AND OVER I sent text messages asking if he had the key. A sampling of his responses are below. Not one text that was not in response to me begging for an answer. "I took the day off to do my inventory, let's try again next Monday," "Mu phone gets turned off Friday night and turned on Monday morning"*** my note... would it have been impossible to inform me of his intentions prior to his phone being magically turned off?. "I'm in Sanford I'll be at Ford in about 15 minutes". ** my note... I have no problem meeting him but I have a demanding job and do not sit in a vehicle all day waiting to find out where someone wants me to go.Interesting note that I asked three of my employees where Ford in Sanford is located no one knew. This includes an employee who purchased a new ford a few months ago.... My job to figure it out and rush to "FORD"?? 37 total text messages Interesting marking plan to have me tour all the local dealerships while attempting to have a fob programmed. I called my salesman Steve. While his answer was professional in its essence it was no one else has a problem and this is our process.

My sister paid cash for a 2017 Arcadia

My sister paid cash for a 2017 Arcadia and I was going to do the same until I took it in to be serviced and it took 4 hrs for a oil change and they told me the gear shift cable needed to be replaced. It has been over one month and they still haven’t gotten the part in and they will not return phone calls. I took it to another gmc near me and it is the main module and another part. It will be done tomorrow. Amazing!!! I will be buying my new SUV from this GMC dealer. David Maus sucks!!! Run!!!!

*** poor work and worst customer service.

Recommended by Geico, so I went with them. Big mistake. They ordered second hand parts, didn't match the paint, and the clear coat they applied to the hood had the worst orange peel I've ever seen. Even Rachael, the rep from David Maus, said it looked bad and that sometimes thats what you get when you deal with a production shop. I went over all the flaws with her and took pictures. 3 weeks later, they've overrun they insurance from the at fault party and want my insurance to pay.... also Geico. Once they work it out, I go to pick it up, and while it has fresh parts, they neglected to sand the mold lines off prior to paint. Paint still doesn't match. And there are still several issues with fitment and repairs. Today, I dealt with Robert, the repair Supervisor or manager for David Maus, and he was a rude *** to put it mildly. He made everything out to be Geico's fault. Said you can't match paint on plastic to metal parts, yet the parts they painted match, but they can't seem to match the rest of the car. Instead of owning their crap work, he decided it was my fault and started blaming me. In his opinion, I should expect to be able to see where the repairs were done. To boot, they picked up a huge bolt in the rt rear tire in the lot when bringing it around to me. Seems to me they are doing everything they can to milk the insurance companies, and they don't gice a crap about the product they put out.

They scratched up my new truck and don't want to fix it

I took my truck in under warrenty and ended up paying 300.00 . I bought my truck December 28 2017 and on Febuary 14 i took it in under it warrenty to have them check out a noise , it ended up costing me 300.00 . Before i picked it up they sent it through there car wash but left the parts in the bed , the car was picked up the part and raked it all down the side scratching it and putting 3 minnor dents in it . Know there trying to say it was there when they did the inspection before they took the truck . When i went to pick it up i inspected it and seen all the scratches and pionted out to management even though they signed a paper saying they would fix it know they are telling me they will not . I have also called and ask to speak to Ronny Whitlock about the General Manager they gave me his email and said he always answers them and i have not herd from him at all . I guess know it time to go to court.

Bad Complaint

On December 21 and 22 I received many phone call from David Maus Toyota but on the 22nd the Big Boss name Mark Dalton call me to apologize for the treatment that they gave me when I when in to purchase a Camry, he ask me what will it take for them to get me that new car i said to him that i want it a 2018 Camry for $250 a month lease for 36 moths with 15,000 miles a year and he said i will do even better, i will do that plus no money down and we will pay off the remainding balance of your 2015 Camry lease that will be around $1,500 and i sad great my hopes were high and the sales person call me that day to work everything for me, she ask me what color do i like to have a said pearl but she said that they do not have it that to get it in that color will be an extra $300 and she said how about silver or black or any of the other colors i sauid to her that i do not like dark colors and finnaly agree in a white camry, she said great so she found a LE white Camry and she toll me to go the next day to do the final papaer work come that next day she call me i have bad news and good news for you, i said go ahead with the news, she said your white camry was sold and we do not have any other one and the second new was that theycan't do $250 they can do it for $275 and 12,000 miles a year, i said no rpblem just find me a white Camry and you have a deal, well days past and they call me on Thursday December 28th at around 6:45 pm thta they have the white Camry 2018 and if i want it to come in that night but they mention that they had lots of clients to attent so it will be a long night by the time we come out of the dealer, i said to her lets do on Friday morning December 29th at 11 am, here is Friday morning i got a phone call around 10:15 am from Dareline to said if i was ready to pick up my car and i said to her that we were in our way and i was eating breakfast around 10:40 am and i will be there around 11:15 am, when i was eating breakfast at a restaurant a person by the name Mark Dalton from finance to tell me that they made a mistake on the numbers and that he will call me back with the exact numbers for my monthly payment, he call me 5 mintes later to tell me that the new payment will be $350 intead of $275 look at that diference, promises after promises and phone call after phone call, very umprofeccional of a dealer and a lack of comunication between managers, sales person and finance staff. I was so upset that I told him that is the way you all run this, very disappointed and I will not recommend anyone to this dealer, what have I done to deserve this treatment form a car dealer and their staff. I think this should be reported to the BBB and Chanel 9 news. The worse part of this is that the poor salesperson Angie and Christian did everything they could to get earn my business but the rest of the staff need lots of training. Thank you, Angie and Christian, for trying, do get a job somewhere else.

Pricing issue

Recently purchased a new, 2017 Toyota Tundra 5.7ltr., 8Cyl. 4x2 Max/Crew Cab.

The salesman who had worked with me on the purchase was Mr. Bernie Lacy. I found Mr. Lacy to be polite, knowledgeable, experienced and professional. But it was the Closing Manager, Mr. Jonny Sabol, who had ultimately closed the deal. But I was quite disappointed that during the explanation of the warranty protection plan, it appeared to me as though all the coverages were inclusive with the purchase of the vehicle. It wasn't until I had received a phone call the very next day, from the Fairwinds Credit Union, the warranty that was so elaborate was do to the fact, it was an Extended Warranty which I did not have any knowledge of it at the time of the sale and closing. The dealership had basically, added on an additional $2,500.00 in fees for the Extended Warranty that I had no desire to purchase. After returning to the dealership the day after purchase, I was able to have to Extended Warranty Cancelled. And since it was a purchase through an outside vendor, my credit union hasn't received the funds that were to be returned to the credit union; so an adjustment can be made on the balance owed on my new truck. According to the vendor, the check was sent to Fairwinds Credit Union on this past Mon., Oct. 9th, 2017. It was being sent from an office in the State of Kansas. So, hopefully, the credit union should have the check in their possession by this Fri., Oct. 13th, 2017. Regardless of the fact, I was pleased with the salesman. But I was not as pleased with the way the closing manager had handled the final steps in order to close the deal. Though, I have good intentions of wishing to retain my new truck for many years. I'm uncertain as to whether I would consider purchasing another vehicle in the future or refer any relatives, friends, neighbors or acquaintances to purchase a vehicle from the Davis Maus Dealership. Sincerely, T. J. Garrett

Maus nissan in crystal river

I purchased a 2016 Nissan pick up truck with 1500 miles on it. During the sales pitch, I was told that the vehicle had a clean Car Fax report. So I took them at their word. I washed the truck a few days later and discovered a dent on the roof, so I returned to the dealership but they refused to fix the dent. My issue with them is this: they willingly withheld information from Car Fax but then they used the Car Fax report to further the sale. They can not be trusted! Manipulating the Car Fax is tantamount to lying. I took the truck to a local body shop who estimated the repair to be $255….So for a couple of hundred bucks, they knowingly lied, to consummate a deal. They screwed me and will *** over too. Buy Elsewhere.
