Verified ReviewerHarassing phone calls and slander
no response from the dealer
Over 50 phone calls from two different phone numbers with an approximately 25 minutes that continued over the course of 2 1/2 days claiming they did not have my deposit. But recorded calls from the bank claim that they had the money. Asking me to meet at 1am or 3am if needed to sign a contract. Continuing to claim they dont have money while on 3way recorded calls the bank verifying they have it.
In the middle of a meeting with my client receiving these insane amount of calls from an employees personal cell phone. Telling me they are coming to my house to get the car (even after the bank verified funds).

Totally ripped me off!!!
I had been going to them for years, even longer if you count the time they were in Longwood on 17-92 as part of their history.
Took my Camry in because it was having intermittent issues. I was supposed to get a diagnostics.
Went to pick it up and and they told me I needed plugs which the service rep said was probably the problem when I walked in the door and I needed motor mounts. I asked where the diagnostics results were and they didn't have a print out. I asked them about the O2 sensor which had been spotted on every previous diagnostics, but they said no, nothing there. I looked at the paper work they gave me and it was recommending a diagnostics.
I pointed this out to them and the service manager got a major attitude. He said we ran you need to pay for it and walked away!
No they did NOT run, to prove my point a few days later I get an email from Seminole Toyota recommending I come in for a diagnostics along with some other services.
Their own paper work shows that a diagnostics was recommended by their mechanic but they charged me for a diagnostics!
To make matters worse I spoke to their customer satisfaction rep and he hit me with such double talk that politicians around the world should take note!
Our family will still stand behind it's Toyota's but we will never go to Seminole Toyota again.

Customers is not always right
I washed my car Thursday, October 24th. On Friday I brought my car in to David Maus Toyota in Sanford, FL to get the weatherstripping replaced on the drivers side door.
They replaced the stripping and all was good until I arrived home and noticed on the right front lower part of my fender was scrapped. The rim was also scrapped. I went back to Maus today, Wednesday, October 30th to show them the damage and to explain how this could happen. They right away took no blame and said they tell their guys that you will not get fired if you damage a vehicle just let us know.
I guess everyone is honest all the time. The Director came out and said someone hit something and that they will review the video. Okay, so the video will prove that I did it? This is how you treat a repeat Toyota customer?
I guess I have to get it fixed out of my pocket and that's the sad part. A few hundred dollars to sever a relationship.
My recommendation whenever you bring in your car or truck for service, always video tape your entire car in case you go through what I just experienced.
BTW- They never took my name or even apologized, nothing!

Verified Buyer |Dave Maus Toyota in Sanford stole my Trade-in Vehicle
May 25, 2019 Saturday, I traded in my Mazda3 which trade-in value is 15,500 with Dave Maus Toyota, and I bought a used car from them for 18,400. They were supposed to deduct the traded in value and add 5000 which i owe the bank, totally would be 18,400 -15,500+5,000 =7,900.
So 7,900 should be my balance, but they made me signed hundreds of paper, by the end, I am ending up need to pay down payment 15,000 and still owe them near 15,000. That is so ridiculous. I didn’t know i was over paying this much after i got home and looked through the paper. The next day I asked them I want to cancel the deal, but my answer from them was the deal is done, they can't do anything about it.
so they took my trade in car without paying me a penny and want me to buy their used car with a new car's price, that is a fraud. *** *** *** *** ***

Dishonest Service Department
I had minor damage on a rim to my 1 year old SUV. When I talked to the service department about having it repaired, they informed me there was suspension damage.
I had a second opinion and found that to be incorrect. So I went and got a third opinion and found again that that there was no damage to the suspension.
BEWARE, this dealership is only after your money. They are very dishonest.
BUYER BEWARE!!!!
I bought a car two weeks ago that appeared in top shape. I asked all the right questions and did my due diligence, but they flat out LIED about the car's history, which had originally been bought and serviced there.
A week later, this car with under 20,000 miles on it, wouldn't start. When I finally got it started and took it into their service department, I saw it had a history of needing to be jump started. The service rep, sales manager, and sales person all NOW said that it was a problem that they had to find the problem and it had to be fixed, shouldn't be on the lot, was a lemon and toyota should buy it back, UNTIL I mentioned I had bought the extra service warranty, at which point their story changed to "we can't find anything wrong with the car." During all this, all managers I spoke with ADMITTED without shame that they INTENTIONALLY LIE ABOUT THEIR CARS because "IF WE DISCLOSED THAT A CAR HAS ISSUES, WE'D NEVER BE ABLE TO SELL IT." They actually SAID THAT!!
I paid over $20,000 for a car that won't reliably start, and they told me I SHOULD FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT!!!
PAY ATTENTION BUYERS: THIS IS THEIR PHILOSOPHY!!! THEIR SLOGAN "WHATEVER IT TAKES" MEANS THEY DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO SELL A CAR: LIE, CHEAT, STEAL FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS....It does NOT mean "whatever it takes" for the customer.

Not poor customer service. No service at all
We were promised a second key fob with the purchase of our 2015 Lexus from David Maus. David Maus uses a third party individual to provide key fobs. This should not have been a problem. I was told I was to meet him at a Sanford area car dealer on a Monday as that is his Sanford day. It quickly became evident that it would be my job to chase him.
We agreed on a day that he would be in Sanford and I would drive the Lexus in order to meet him. After not hearing from him I sent him a text at 4:10 PM. He responded "I was in the area today waiting for your call". Again; my job to chase and beg. I am not good at either. I did meet him one day. After several attempts he was unable to program the new fob and promised to order new ones.
I made it clear that the Lexus is my wife's car and not my daily drive. I would need to know when he received the fobs in order to make certain ( I made it clear) that I would drive the Lexus from my home in Titusville when he felt he could help me. He did not reach out to me but OVER AND OVER AND OVER I sent text messages asking if he had the key. A sampling of his responses are below. Not one text that was not in response to me begging for an answer.
"I took the day off to do my inventory, let's try again next Monday,"
"Mu phone gets turned off Friday night and turned on Monday morning"*** my note... would it have been impossible to inform me of his intentions prior to his phone being magically turned off?.
"I'm in Sanford I'll be at Ford in about 15 minutes". ** my note... I have no problem meeting him but I have a demanding job and do not sit in a vehicle all day waiting to find out where someone wants me to go.Interesting note that I asked three of my employees where Ford in Sanford is located no one knew. This includes an employee who purchased a new ford a few months ago.... My job to figure it out and rush to "FORD"??

Interesting marking plan to have me tour all the local dealerships while attempting to have a fob programmed.
I called my salesman Steve. While his answer was professional in its essence it was no one else has a problem and this is our process.

My sister paid cash for a 2017 Arcadia
My sister paid cash for a 2017 Arcadia and I was going to do the same until I took it in to be serviced and it took 4 hrs for a oil change and they told me the gear shift cable needed to be replaced. It has been over one month and they still haven’t gotten the part in and they will not return phone calls.
I took it to another gmc near me and it is the main module and another part. It will be done tomorrow. Amazing!!! I will be buying my new SUV from this GMC dealer.
David Maus sucks!!! Run!!!!
*** poor work and worst customer service.
Recommended by Geico, so I went with them. Big mistake.
They ordered second hand parts, didn't match the paint, and the clear coat they applied to the hood had the worst orange peel I've ever seen. Even Rachael, the rep from David Maus, said it looked bad and that sometimes thats what you get when you deal with a production shop. I went over all the flaws with her and took pictures. 3 weeks later, they've overrun they insurance from the at fault party and want my insurance to pay....
also Geico. Once they work it out, I go to pick it up, and while it has fresh parts, they neglected to sand the mold lines off prior to paint. Paint still doesn't match. And there are still several issues with fitment and repairs.
Today, I dealt with Robert, the repair Supervisor or manager for David Maus, and he was a rude *** to put it mildly. He made everything out to be Geico's fault. Said you can't match paint on plastic to metal parts, yet the parts they painted match, but they can't seem to match the rest of the car. Instead of owning their crap work, he decided it was my fault and started blaming me.
In his opinion, I should expect to be able to see where the repairs were done. To boot, they picked up a huge bolt in the rt rear tire in the lot when bringing it around to me.
Seems to me they are doing everything they can to milk the insurance companies, and they don't gice a crap about the product they put out.
