Stay far away from their body shop
these guys had my daughters car for over a month, and it still wasn't right.
they brought it to my house, paint was not where paint needed to be, full of over spray, orange peel, just over all what I would expect from a "maacco" paint job.
then they charged us for the rental car that we had for a month cause their time to fix the car was estimated at 1 week..........dealing with Charlie.....forget it, he tries, but cant get anything accomplishd. they destroyed our back glass, and wanted to turn it into insurance, and it was their fault!!! that's deceptive......the list goes on and on we spent 10k and its still not right.
best advice go find another bodyshop this ones full of clowns.

Dear Mr. Maus,
I take my car to a Toyota dealer ship for many reasons. The dealership has and install’s Toyota parts, they should know the car better than other auto car mechanics etc. However my experience with this company has been unbelievably poor service.
Let me give you some examples. Every time and I do mean every time I allow David Maus Toyota change my air filter my car must be returned. Even today when Glen asked if he could change the filter I advised all the issue I have had in the past, like the filter not being put in correctly and all the covers dropping and falling on the passenger floor but the worst part is always the noise with all the leaves falling into the system a.k.a this is why you are getting this letter and my husband returning again today fix the leaf problem again.
This is only one of many issues; my husband was told on our last visit we had an issue with tire pressure because the car alignment was out of balance. Sorry, I spent good hard earned money on something that was not the problem with my car. I had a very small nail in the tire and it only took Costco a few minutes to find the problem. The company (on line order) replaced this tire because the tire did not offer road ware they sold him the tire at ¼ price with shipping it cost us $50.00. That is a lot cheaper than going to your dealership and pay for the wrong diagnostic, about the car being out of alignment. At least this visit the David Maus maintenance department balanced my tires when they were rotated.
Another visit I arrived advising the lights on my car stay on. Keep in mind this is a Toyota Prius, the head of maintenance insisted that I don’t have this extra feature and it cannot be put into the car. The way the service maintenance expert was able to convince me, he pressed the lock button on the keyless remote if the lights did not go off I didn’t have this on a Prius? I thought this was *** but what could I say I’m stuck with a bad car? No when I don’t lock my car the lights go off but when I lock the car they stay on. It is not functioning correctly and I live with this error.
I know some cars can have issues but this is ridiculous that I can’t get fair to good service when your company should be giving excellent service.
My sister has a Toyota Prius and she gets great service in Naples FL. Even the head of sales talks to all the customers in the service department. Yes, they check to see if the people with older cars might be interested in a new car however he is also trying to be sure they can brag about the great service directly from the customer’s they service. This is a smaller town so business just a competitive if not more so because every car they sell could mean the difference between staying in business and getting out of business.
To your great fortune while I own this car you are the closest and largest dealership so I am going to continue to try and get fair service however I’m hoping this will help you make the proper changes in your maintenance department because I am so tired of two trips for a service I did not get the first time. After all one way is 34 min (24.3 mi) via FL-417 Toll N three times (to the David Maus Toyota back home and then a repeat because the car was not serviced correctly) Well my Saturday with my husband is shot again.
Sincerely
Teri S. McMillan

David Maus Toyota Staff Review from Saint Cloud, Florida
I have never shopped there. However I must say the blonde that does ALL your commercials have the most annoying voice ever.
Whoever is in charge of your PR needs to do something. Thanks
Fraud At David Maus
Hi my name is Jennie Bach, I went into your store on Friday the 9th of January. It started out to be a really great experience until I tried to leave . I stated to the managers that I have my own Financing set up thru my own Credit union Orlando Federal Credit union. That I would have to wait till then they told me no worries. All I had to do was sign a back up contract for insurance purposes and bring my draft in on Monday. Well needless to say I am not a professional shopper and did not know what I know now. Me signing that contract gave them the right to send it into a bank… I came back on Saturday after thinking about what I just went thru and did not think this was a very good idea being I did not leave till almost 11 pm at night. I can back on Monday after speaking with my bank and they told me that I did not make enough income in order to support the payment or loan of 25612.00. So I returned back to your store and they told me to bad they already had a cashable contract. How could that ever be??? If my own personal bank would not approve me how could this other bank? SI never received a copy of my contract and was told to leave the premise. I though wow how things have changed they really must have done a great deal on me to be threatening to throw me out of the dealership and call the cops. My Friend came in with me who used to be in the car business just to see what we could do to fix the situation but needless to say the only thing that happened was the cops got called and I was told to get the F… off the premise. I'm sure you can read between the lines. Needless to say I was just going to leave the car there but your manager insured me that not only would he have the car impounded and that I would have to pay for it also.. What should I do ??? I will never afford a 600.00 car payment and I was told to sign things under false pretense. They told me that I was financed thru Toyota and that I should receive my payment book from them? its against the law to sign a law contract and not receive a copy of it.. Is 1 deal really worth all this. If this is your new business and you have a good name would you not like to keep it that way. I Spoke with Toyota Finance and told them what I really make being your Finance person changed my income on my application so I could budget for the car. But as he told me and my friend it was not his doing it was his finance director Matt that handled the deal. And he only does what he is told. I'm not sure you are aware of the scam that is going on behind close doors. I Like someone to call me from the corporate office being that everyone including your General Manager solutions to defrauding a bank and lying to a bank which goes all your franchise agreements. So I guess one deal does not matter but if this is the way you want your reputation to become in the car business than I guess so be it. In every Dealership I have ever been to if there was a problem you talked to the General Manager, well you might need to find a new one of those because that guy only cared about calling the cops not find a happy solution.
All I ask is someone from the corporate office to give me a call before I go to my attorney. Being there is no one at the store level who cares at all.

Free car wash service
I've been using the free car wash service offered to customers. Extremely disappointing. Several times I have pointed out to the service personnel the fact that the car is not vacuumed, rims not cleaned, dusty dashboard. Well I had it and today I decided to voice my displeasure with this service. Why offer the service if it is going to be so SUBSTANDARD. You need to learn from Fields BMW if you consider your dealership a FIRST CLASS OPERATION. It doesn't take a great effort to do it RIGHT, if NOT, DO NOT OFFER the free service. Customers expect quality service, even if it is FREE. I can save gas and time and use a water hose at home and do a better job that your crew does. It is a shame that for such a little detail as a free car wash you upset a customer that may loose you sales. I expect to hear from you regarding this complain.
Respectfully,
Luis A. Gonzalez
Rotating Tires
Had appointment for 7.00 AM they took car at that time and I did not get it returned till 9.05. Way to long for tire rotation and balancing.
They then charged me $34.24 to balance them. My truck tires at Sam's wholesale get rotated and balanced free so I will purchase my next set of tires from them. This is not good customers service as far as I'm concerned and will not recommend anyone to get new tires there.
Sorry David but I'll take my business elsewhere next time. It's to bad that this has happened being the big dealership that you are I expected more customers service.

Cracked Windshield
Come to find out that DM doesn't actually do the work. A company called Auto Glass Concepts has a desk in the service area, but they wear DM shirts.
Auto Glass Concept farms the work out local glass shops. In my case, an company called "Low Price Auto Glass". To make a long story short, do not let Auto Glass Concepts near your car!!!
Now I have to pay for the repair to my windshield myself. If you deal with these clowns, your car most likely will be worked on by a low-end glass shop.
Stick with Safelite
Do not let them do any glass repair work!!! Had cracked windshield that they offered to repair through my insurance.
They farmed it out to a low end shop that came out to my job after missing several appt times; the guy installed it and crimped the rubber that holds the glass in place...he returned after missing another appointment to fix the problem now the windshield leaks...I drive to the shop's location some 30 mile away and now fighting with the shop to rectify...feeling scammed the shop is giving grief and DMaus not accepting any responsibility...
They told me work it out myself... Be smart and take your vehicle to more reputable shop...

Car Buying
This is the car dealership/sales person/sales manager in which they play games saying one thing then change and try to up sale you before you even get to dealership. It is unfortunate but their philosophy is constructed on the American showman Phineas Taylor Barnum statement, "There's a sucker born every minute." We went to buy a Scion tC and found that all cars have preinstalled dealer options such as window tint, door guard, and a door handle thing.
In fact it seems like all David Maus dealerships have this up sale as we saw at their Volkswagen and Chevy dealerships. Folks, please understand if a dealership adds window tint at $299 and you finance you are paying on that $299 for the life of the finance which could be 72 months. Think about it. Also, you can get tint cheeper elsewhere which when brought up to sales person, I was told but it has life time warranty.
Folks, 99 percent of window tinting places have life time warranty. I walked to the Pure Price pricing board they had at the entrance and asked sales person can we get the tC for 20,500 that was listed plus the $799 dealer fee but we do not want your add ons. Which you think since it is on the Pure Pricing Broad it would be a no brainer. Think again.
Of course our sales person had to go ask a manager, go figure. On walked Sales Manger David who had to go ask another person, go figure again. This is called the wait them out, ask multiple people, look we really worked hard for you tactic. David returned and said, “They do not have a car that has no dealership add on options, go figure.
Thus David said what if we threw the options in for free at which point I confirmed,”so, $20,500 plus $799 dealer fee and the tax & plate fees?” I made it a point to reiterate multiple times and was agreed. After David left, I asked our sales person what would they give us for trade of the car we grove in on? Our sales person said he would get an appraisal person and left. No more than five minutes went by when sales person returned and started to re-negotiate saying deal was for MSRP $21,803 plus $799.
David even came back with a laminated MSRP pointing to how this car had spoiler on the front of car. Folks, all 2015 tC have that spoiler design on front. Plus, how is that getting the dealer add on options for free? It is not as David just added them by going off the MSRP.
The funny thing about all this is the price of 20,500 plus $799 is what TrueCar gives you and sends you a certificate when you try to get best price without all the bull. The dealership will respond with an explanation and make it seem like they are wonderful. I just wanted a car dealership to honor the price they have listed on their Pure Price Broad, TrueCar, and agreed at dealership. Too much to ask for with David Maus.
I can imagine what would have transpired in their finance department if price honored. If one department is tricky to say it mildly what do you think the other departments philosophy would be?
If you want to experience what this motto,”There's a sucker born every minute," feels like just go to any David Maus.
Watch yourself when you get to the finance group.
Finance person included a couple extra protection features for our car in the deal. Told us it was "included" in the price.
It sure was, for an additional 2,500 dollars that he buried in the paperwork. It was late at night, and we were rushing, and shouldn't have. The next day when we saw what he had done which raised the price of the vehicle by 2,500 dollars it was too late. The contract was a done deal.
I have done business with them before, I should have known better.
I knew what they were capable of!!!! Do yourself a favor, buy your car from someone else.

David Maus Toyota Orlando
I went to David Maus Toyota a few years ago for service and quickly determined it was a mess. Their game is to not have any one person responsible.
The service manager turns to one person, then another and and another in hopes that they wear you out. In my case, I had a 20 something year old service supervisor who told me my gaskets are bad and I need "an overhaul" on my engine for a few thousand dollars, while another told me I needed "major transmission service". When I told them no thanks, they said good luck and gave me some bogus print out. Fast forward to another dealer and the Manager said it was fine.
200k miles later my engine and transmission are running perfect. These guys are BOGUS.
"Whatever it takes" is all David Maus says on his commercials. Let me tell you what it takes is to go somewhere else.
Spare Parts Review
Made a trip to indiana with my accent that i got a few months back .Had a flat and went to use the spare and didn't fit my car.I was on I 65 with no spare by myself was very upset David.
Beware of "Air Bag Recall"
Beware when taking your vehicle in for the air bag recall. This is a summary of my experience with my 05 Sequoia.
I called the service center and was told I would need to bring it in and they would need to disassemble the air bag, this appointment took 1.5 hours to complete. I was told the replacement air bag could not be ordered until the current one was removed. When I questioned this I was told it would take approx 7 to 10 days to get the new air bag in and the install appointment would be 2+ hours. It has been 10 days and I just called David Maus to check the status of my part.
The parts department said Toyota has NOT even made the replacement part for the 05! only the 04's. I was told there are customers that have been on the list since October. I REALLY WISH I HAD BEEN TOLD THIS UPFRONT!
The different departments at the dealership should all be on the same page and giving the customers realistic information so that we may make informed decisions. I may have not had this removed until replacement parts were more readily available.
